Mission Statement:
The Academy of Restorative Pediatric and Implant Dentistry International Inc.'s mission is to provide high quality educational experiences to established dental professionals with a focus on retirement and financial wellbeing Our desire is to provide dental professional role models, exposure to dentistry, educational support and become influencers to middle school, high school and college level students who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of dentistry.
Our Founder
Dr. Lloyd Patterson
ARPID International’s founder, Dr. Lloyd Patterson, was an esteemed scientist, researcher, inventor, entrepreneur,mediator, intermediary and prosthetic dentist. He was a native of Kalamazoo, MI where he received his undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College with a pre-medicine major. Dr. Patterson subsequently went on to distinguish himself in the field of abnormal psychology obtaining a BS and MS degree from Western Michigan University. He received his DMD degree from Temple University and later pursued post-doctoral studies in prosthetic dentistry at McCarrie School of Health Sciences and Technology.
Dr. Patterson was a pioneer in the field of artificial bone and implant technology. He had over 40 years of knowledge first having completed advanced studies at Brooks Medical and the University of North Carolina and later forming the internationally renowned research company, LPI, for which he was owner and founder. Dr. Patterson’s distinguished career also included a private dental practice in Kalamazoo, MI. Lastly, Dr. Patterson played professional football as a linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles. He retired form the field of dentistry and settled in Ormond Beach, FL serving in various consulting positions. Dr. Patterson passed in 2019 after a bout with cancer.
Board of Directors
Dr. Leroy R. Polite:
Dr. Leroy R. Polite is an experienced entrepreneur and retired Owner/President of Economy Dentures and Economy Dentistry for Children. He is a recognized dental doctor,pharmacist, and professional speaker whose life has impacted many. Born in Bronx, New York, and the oldest of six siblings, he is a 1962 graduate of New Stanton High School in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Polite received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Florida A& M University (FAMU) in 1967.
Mr. John Baum:
John Baum has over 35 years of financial, strategic planning, M&A, sales, business development, and Board of Director advisory experience involving companies ranging in size from $5 million to $1.2 billion, He has served as CFO for two public companies - one in Australia and one domestic.
Attorney Beverly Pascoe:
Beverly Pascoe is a Partner at Orr | Cook. She focuses her practice on corporate and health care law. Her practice includes regulatory compliance, healthcare fraud and abuse, healthcare reimbursement, healthcare operations and risk management, facility and professional licensure,government payor enrollment, and disciplinary matters, as well as general corporate and administrative law. Ms. Pascoe’s clients include physician practices, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, home health agencies, hospitals, dental practices, and ancillary
healthcare providers.
